![]() ![]() To sum it up, this is quite much the laptop I would expect Apple to deliver as a large MacBook Air. I would not dare to say it is good for photo or video editors as I am not one of them and I cannot attest if the performance or the color accuracy is on par. I would say it is just great for executives, academics, or writers. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a computer for productivity or office use: it has a large screen comfortable to use with many windows opened a nice and comfortable keyboard to type at and good performance and battery life. Overall, I have to say that I am very pleased with it and it exceeded my expectations so far. These here are my initial impressions, and they may change after using it more frequently. My LG Gram 17 arrived yesterday, and this is my review of it after almost 24 hours with the laptop. Overall, I have high hopes for this one, and it may be just the laptop I need. Battery life is also expected to improve. The display is taller (16:10 form factor) and has a higher resolution (2560x1600) which allows for more real screen estate, in addition to having a higher pixel density. It comes with 16 GB 4266 MHz and a 512 GB NVMe, a lot faster as well. The performance will be much increased with a Core i7-1165g7, which should be much faster. The new one is supposed to be far better. ![]() Overall, it is a very convenient laptop which is very light at less than 1kg (hence the name "Gram") and has terrific battery life. The performance is good enough for general tasks. The screen is fine unless I put it side-by-side with the MacBook Pro (the latter is far better). It performs well and basically fulfills my needs for a very portable laptop. Given that the price difference between them was only $60, I went with the larger one.Īs mentioned, I currently have an LG Gram 14z980, which comes with a 14-inch display with a 1920x1080 resolution, an Intel Core i5-8250u processor, 8 GB RAM 2400 MHz, and a 256 GB SATA SSD. Here in Brazil, the 16-inch ships with 256 GB storage and the 17-inch with 512 GB (there is only one model of each for sale).
